The Beginning of a New Journey

“All journeys eventually end in the same place, home.”
― Chris Geiger

After numerous 'trippings' and 'site visits', my husband and I have finally decided to settle down in a quiet neighborhood in Metro Manila. Yes, in the metro. Never in my house-hunting-and-home-furniture-filled wild dreams have I seen an amazing place like this and that it still exists. We were bent on looking at properties in the nearby provinces like Cavite, Rizal and Bulacan because we know we couldn't afford a house and lot here in Metro Manila. It's almost impossible to find an affordable house and lot like this that's flood-free and is in a safe neighborhood. We both dislike condominium living so we needed to look for a place with a back yard and a front lawn. And It took a really long time before we were finally able to say "This is the one"

It even comes with an open garage. (The husband, was thrilled, of course. I guess, it was the free garage/parking that finally convinced him. Hehe). Kidding.

We had several "I see Zeff playing and running around in this neighborhood", "I see myself fetching our son from his preschool" and "I see myself spending a lazy afternoon in the clubhouse" moments before writing the check. Haha Okay, maybe not the 'clubhouse moment' but I'm sure you get the picture. (We're both pretty mental, my husband and I).

Lord, thank you for this. I have prayed that we may be able to find a place that's safe, convenient and close to work (and other establishments). We have been praying for a house and a location that would allow Zeff to grow up in an environment similar to what we had in the province. We both had a great childhood and we want the same for our baby.

That prayer has been answered. After almost two years of praying and house hunting and praying and house hunting, we have found it! There are no words to describe the feeling. It's amazing how God has led us to our future home. Thank you, dear Lord.
